TinyChart: The One-Stop-Shop for Algorand DeFi
What are ASA’s?
With the recent explosion of DeFi growth and adoption on Algorand, the need for a platform with a suite of features to seamlessly track, analyze and trade the ever-expanding list of Algorand Standard Assets (ASA’s) became immediately necessary. That is where tinychart.org came into the picture.
For the uninitiated, ASA’s are native tokens on Algorand, just as Ethereum has their ERC-20 tokens. Because the deployment of these tokens is so cheap, easy and efficient on Algorand, the community and developers have unleashed thousands of them into the ecosystem.
The deployment of ASA’s has been increasing at a rapid rate, nearly doubling in the last 90 days, as seen below. ASA’s can represent anything of value essentially, from NFT’s to loyalty points, to fungible ASA’s like Yieldly ($YLDY) and the Tinychart Token ($TINY); all while natively inheriting the base layer security of Algorand.
What is TinyChart?
As millions of users flock to Algorand DeFi and more, TinyChart realized the utility in creating a tool for the community to engage with the myriad of projects launching on Algorand. So what does TinyChart offer you?
If you head to our website, https://tinychart.org/, first and foremost, on the homepage you will be able to easily track and see the rankings of all the top Algorand projects trading on Tinyman. This includes all pools, all data, in real-time.
TinyChart has taken all the guesswork out of the equation for investors by indexing the most critical data for Algorand assets. We made it possible to track these assets in real-time and filter by all the most applicable metrics to ensure you are equipped and informed as a trader. If you are interested in what projects are launching on Algorand, TinyChart is the one-stop-shop to find those projects and dissect them.
Features of TinyChart
As an example, we provide the feature to filter by liquidity, and we automatically filter ASA’s this way, as it is the most important metric for AMM pools — it is not easily manipulated and with more liquidity, the pool trades become less volatile. You can also sort by 24 hour price action, liquidity, market cap, fully-diluted market cap, as well as 24-hour views. Some of these features will soon only be available to holders of $TINY. What’s more, when you click on the asset, you can see how many people are currently viewing it, as seen below.
When you click on an asset from the homepage, you will also see information displayed such as the liquidity change in the last 7 days, the assets’ transaction history over the last 7 days, and even the top wallet holders to see what percentage of the supply they own. These are interactive, and when hovered over give precise data for each timeframe or metric. The idea is to present the best information and data for ASA’s with the most seamless interface.
Not to be forgotten of course are the charts themselves! TinyChart offers big charts for ASA’s with the ability to filter by your favorite timeframes as well as in linear or logarithmic. When hovering the chart, you can see the all the information about price candles as well as the volume and supply percentage traded. Above the chart we even display metrics such as volatility, which can be quite useful when trading on a decentralized exchange/AMM like Tinyman.
Key Data at Your Fingertips
Other features include the ability to denominate the assets by different currencies such as ALGO, the British Pound, the Dollar, and more; filter to display only verified assets, (which are verified by Algorand Inc.), and the ability to filter out low liquidity assets or those with freeze or clawback enabled (meaning the managing address(es) have much more control over the ASA). More on that here.
Another important feature is the ability to toggle between new and active assets, wrapped assets, as well as those on your watchlist, which you can select by clicking on the star next to each asset. With new assets coming out left and right, having all of these tools at your immediate disposal will help you navigate them with confidence.
You may have noticed in the above example there is a “Connect wallet” option. That feature will soon be released which will allow for trading ASA’s directly from TinyChart, among other things. In the meantime, you can still use TinyChart to trade! First, select an asset: let’s say the $TINY token (which is the official ASA that powers TinyChart).
As highlighted below, you can click on the button next to the protocol name, make your trade via Tinyman, come back to TinyChart and check the value of $TINY in real-time using our calculator. You can also see below that there is a button that links to AlgoExplorer for each asset which provides the technical details of the ASA. As you may have gathered, we have built this platform to give Algorand users, both new and seasoned, the same toolkit with same ease of use.
TinyChart can be used with the same UX on either desktop or mobile, and more features are coming down the pike to solidify it as the one-stop-shop for all things Algorand DeFi. We have seen tremendous support from the community since launch as users have flocked to the site, which has made us truly excited and displays the real zeal that the Algorand community possesses.
